As an artist, I embrace what the geographer John K. Wright described as experiential watchfulness, which involves seeing, documenting, and discussing specific places to stimulate local awareness, activism, and care. Accordingly, I use my work to highlight the unique character of local environments to encourage compassion and stewardship.

In all, I believe that by shining a light on our local environments, it becomes possible to call attention to their distinctive qualities and create a space for their shared interpretation, understanding, and care.
