BFA In Painting West Virginia University

Currently a resident of Fairmont, West Virginia and Liuqing Ruth Yang holds a BFA in Painting from West Virginia University. Her portraits are pictorially meld with Chinese culture, the history of Christian symbolism in traditional and contemporary paintings, and speak to her identity as a contemporary Chinese-American. Her perspective from the old Master works to represent God’s creation and the beauty of humans. Her portraits exhibited WVU, Marshall University, Slippery Rock University, Tamarack Marketplace, WV Department Art, Culture and History Center and she won many art awards in juried exhibitions across the state including Tamarack Best of West Virginia, WVU, Elkins The Art Center, Eastern WV CT College etc.
