Liz Urse (she, her) is a visual artist from northern West Virginia. She holds a Masters in Art Education and an Art Therapy Certification. As a printmaker, she creates layered reductions on paper that weave together themes of memory, transient moments, and nature of Appalachia. Block-printed textiles extend this narrative into functional daily life. She repurposes denim, infusing threads with hand-carved patterns and designs. Through this merging of techniques, she aims to evoke narratives associated with the passage of time, intertwining nature with the texture of memory.
