Molly is a fisheries biologist who grew up, wild and barefoot, in the foothills of Appalachia. Her writing on Appalachian culture and history has been featured in publications throughout the region. Today, she lives on an island off the West Coast, where she spends her free time playing the mountain dulcimer and cooking family recipes to preserve and strengthen her connection to home.
