Nathan Abia Lawer-Yolar is a Ghanaian-American image maker currently based in Seattle, WA. He uses photography to highlight stories that show the reality, perceptions and dreams of Black people in a positive light, literally and figuratively. He’s interested in building bridges across the diaspora and linking these bridges to the Motherland through portraiture. Most of his collaborators (or “subjects”) for these images are friends and in some cases, family. He’s committed to telling our stories to any and everyone.
