Taylor Pate is an artist and educator from West Virginia. Pate graduated from West Virginia University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, studying both painting and history. In 2023, she graduated with her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She has worked at cultural institutions like the Brodsky Center and the Curtis Institute of Music. She recently received the Murray Dessner Travel Grant- where she will research ancient Celtic art in Ireland and its connections to Appalachian culture.
